Priyanka Chopra to produce Sikkimese-Nepalese film Paua next

The actress has finalised this biligual film as her production company Purple Pebble Pictures' next project.

Despite spending most of her time in the US, Priyanka Chopra manages to monitor and make all the major decisions of her production house, Purple Pebble Pictures (PPP), which is venturing into multiple projects in 2017.

Priyanka's next under her banner will be a Sikkimese-Nepalese film title Paua, which means guest. The movie revolves around a family, and is about how the kids get separated from their parents at the time of unrest. Priyanka and her mother Madhu Chopra are keen to source local talent from Nepal and Sikkim.

While this will be the next project for the banner, Priyanka recently told a tabloid in an interview that she has five films in planning stages. “I will be announcing five, small-budget, content-driven, path-breaking films in other languages this year. I want to tell as many stories as possible using local talent speaking in regional tongues."

Priyanka is in the process of finalising scripts from Chattisgarh and Rajasthan.

The actress, who is busy shooting Quantico in New York at the moment, has already produced three regional language films under he banner - Bam Bam Bol Raha Hai Kashi (2016) in Bhojpuri, Ventilator (2016) in Marathi and Sarvann in Punjabi, which is slated to hit the theatres on 13 January, 2017.

PPP's last release Ventilator is one of the highest grossing Marathi films of 2016.
