Veteran actor Shakti Kapoor strongly defended his daughter Shraddha Kapoor, who experienced back-to-back flops with Rock On 2 (2016) and OK Jaanu (2017).
While it is expected of a father to counter criticism of his daughter, Shakti Kapoor's defence will shock you. "Unlike me, Shraddha has a rich father. So she can take it [signing films] easy," he told the DNA newspaper.
The veteran also rubbished rumours that Shraddha was changing her managers as a result of the two flops. "We are not changing anybody in her team. I have no clue where this news is coming from. Her manager and the agency she signed up are doing a good job. In fact, I introduced Shraddha to her manager. We are happy with their work. She is one of their oldest clients and joined them before Aashiqui 2," he said.
Shraddha has had a few flops in her short career, but Shakti Kapoor insisted she was working with more brands than the more successful Alia Bhatt. "She is working with 12-13 brands now," he said. "That's more than Alia Bhatt. She is doing phenomenal work, why would we want to replace them [her managers]?"
Shraddha will be seen next in Apoorva Lakhia’s Haseena: The Queen Of Mumbai, based on gangster Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar.
