Commando 2 posters: Vidyut Jammwal ready for a bigger action-packed challenge

Director Dilip Ghosh’s Commando – A One Man Army (2012) was an action-packed saga that also dealt with romance. It’s sequel, Commando 2 – The Black Money Trail, is supposed to be bigger and grander than the first film. This is felt from it’s recently released character posters of its main cast, Vidyut Jammwal, Esha Gupta, Adah Sharma and Freddy Daruwala.
Jammwal is the only one retained from the first film since he is the lead star. The new poster sees him raring to go. His image is surrounded by currency which justifies the films tagline. And since the currency is in dollars, we can assume that the film’s subject is international. Commando marked the debut of Pooja Chopra, who isn’t part of the sequel.
Before the film’s release, Jammwal had got noticed in the John Abraham starrer Force (2011) as the tough villain. Following this, he got more recognition as the main lead in Commando. Surprisingly, after this film, he was only seen in Bullet Raja in 2013.
Esha and Adah also get their solo posters. It is difficult to tell much about their characters though. After Holiday – A Soldier Is Never Off Duty (2014), Daruwala will again be seen as the antagonist. He was also seen in Force 2, where he played a RAW agent. He looks all charged up for action in the poster.
Interestingly, the film marks the directorial debut of actor Deven Bhojani. He was last seen in Agneepath (2012) as a mute character. He is still popularly known as Aamir Khan’s friend in Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (1992).
Commando 2 is all set to release on 3 March 2017.
