At Rs3.50 crore, Jolly LLB 2 earned more than double the business the three films made, on its eighth day.
Box office: The Ghazi Attack fares badly, Running Shaadi and Irada prove to be disasters

Three new releases hit the theatres yesterday — The Ghazi Attack, Running Shaadi and Irada and all have failed on their opening day. Out of these, Running Shaadi and Irada have proven to be disasters.
Despite the presence of Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions for the Hindi version of The Ghazi Attack (the film has also been made in Telugu), the film managed only Rs1.25 crore, as per figures shared by BoxOfficeIndia.com. The absence of a single big star is said to be the reason behind this. But with positive reviews pouring in, the film has a chance of doing much better on Saturday and Sunday.
Running Shaadi and Irada have earned as less as Rs10-12 lakh each. There wasn’t much buzz for the former and the latter was hardly publicised. But despite that, the collections have proved to be shocking. There isn’t much hope for them in the remaining weekend.
On the other hand, Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 has scored good numbers on the first day of its second week. In fact, its eighth-day collection is more than double the first day numbers of the three new films combined!
The film collected Rs3.50 crore, which takes its overall total to Rs76 crore so far. It now stands a good chance of reaching the Rs100-crore mark, more so with none of the new releases proving to be a threat.
