The trailers of Vishal Bhardwaj’s upcoming film Rangoon have managed to up the interest of the moviegoers. Apart from the usual quirkiness, which is eminent in his films, it boasts some impressive chemistry between Kangana Ranaut and Shahid Kapoor.

The most memorable sequence from the trailer is the one where both actors are passionately romancing in the grey mud. But often the audience doesn’t realise the pain the actors go through in order to make a scene appear beautiful.

As far as Ranaut's experience is concerned, it was anything but beautiful. In fact, she felt like running away from the shoot. She disclosed this during an interaction with senior journalist and film critic, Anupama Chopra.

When asked about the challenges of shooting the scene, Ranaut said, “It went on for two days. And by the end of the day, the garment got really heavy because the mud stuck on it. It became some 80 kgs. It was at the helipad at Filmcity where it was very cold. At one point, I felt, ‘Can I just disappear? Can I just not come back ever?’”

She continued, “Obviously I cannot go home. They will bring me back from my house (laughs). I felt, ‘Can I just disappear from the face of this earth?’”

But she also added that she is amazed by Bhardwaj’s dedication to keep on shooting in extreme conditions despite obstacles, even when he is on the verge of falling sick.
