There's no better training than to be on the sets. Vir, Rajkumar Hirani's teenage son is all set to follow in his father's footseps. Vir has taken the first step towards that dream by assisting his dad and crew on the sets of the upcoming biopic on Sanjay Dutt, with Ranbir Kapoor in the lead.

He's designated as the director's assistant. His job as a director's assistant requires him to be an assistant to all the ADs and work closely with them on the set. He is one responsible for the clap. Anyone who begins training starts with giving claps, and Vir is treated no differently on the sets.

Vir, though, is no stranger to filmmaking having already made his debut behind the camera at such a young age. His maiden directorial venture, Return Gift, was showcased at the 18th International Children’s Film Festival of India in Hyderabad, in the Little Director's category in 2015.

It is said that Vir took the responsibility of making this film with a few of his classmates, all under the age of 16, and he was seen donning multiple hats of director, editor and photographer.

Buzz has it that it was inspired by a true story told to him by his grandmother. Vir has also managed to make his second short film with actor Anil Mange.

Dutt's biopic is keenly awaited and the audience is eager to see what Rajkumar can bring to the table on the controversial life of the actor.
