Director Shankar has a surprise for 2.0 fans.
Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar’s 2.0 goes lovestruck this Valentine’s: See poster

Come Valentine’s Day and social media is filled with posts celebrating love. This also includes members of the film fraternity who joyfully display their admiration for the day. But there was one post that surprised the netizens.
Director Shankar came up with a Valentine poster for his hugely-anticipated film, 2.0, which is the sequel to his successful sci-fi thriller, Robot (2010).
It shows a hand holding a bright red rose, which is a symbol of love. The words ‘Happy Valentine Day’ are inscribed on it. The blue background makes the rose more appealing.
There is keen anticipation for the film because, along with Rajinikanth, the film also has Akshay Kumar. The Jolly LLB 2 actor will play the villain who will be pitted against Rajinikanth’s character.
The first few posters of the film were released last year at an event in Mumbai amid much fanfare. Rajinikanth stated during an interaction about Kumar's role being more interesting than his. “I am telling you the truth. The hero of 2.0 is not Rajinikanth. Akshay Kumar is the hero. If I would have been given a choice, I would have selected that (Akshay’s) character. But hats off to Akshay Kumar. He works so hard, so hard. And you can see that on the screen,” he had said.
2.0 is all set to release during Diwali this year on 18 October.
