Actor Akshay Kumar got on board for the biopic of music composer Gulshan Kumar titled Mogul earlier this year. The actor seemed to be gung ho about the film as was evident from his posts on social media. However, as per latest reports, the actor has walked out of the film.

The film was to be directed by Subhash Kapoor, who also directed Akshay in the hit Jolly LLB 2 earlier this year. The project is being made under the T-Series banner, which was the brainchild of Gulshan himself.

But a report in Mid-Day newspaper states that the actor has decided to walk out of the project citing differences over the film’s script. The report states that the actor wanted some changes in the script, but Kapoor refused flatly. Hence, Akshay decided that it would be best to quit the project.

The report also mentions that the Toilet: Ek Prem Katha actor had started allotting dates that he had kept aside for Mogul to other producers.

Cinestaan.com contacted Kapoor for a comment, but he was unavailable.

On 15 March this year, Akshay had delightfully announced his association with the film and had also shared the first poster of the film on Twitter. He said, “My association with Him began with my very first film. He was The Emperor Of Music! Now know His story... #Mogul, The Gulshan Kumar story!”
