Kabir Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan is all set to be released in China. The film, starring Salman Khan, Harshaali Malhotra, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Kareena Kapoor Khan was an instant hit when it released in India in 2015.

The news has delighted Salman’s fans, but the new title has not. It appears that the English translation of the Chinese title is hilarious, it reads — Little Lolita Monkey God Uncle. This was enough for the twitterati to raise eyebrows and express its disapproval.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan is the story of Munni (Malhotra), a Pakistani girl who is sperated from her mother on a visit to India. She meets Bajrangi (Khan), a simpleton who is also a worshipper of Hanuman. He vows to reunite Munni with her parents in Pakistan, and is helped a Pakistani journalist (Siddiqui).

The film became Salman’s highest grosser after it amassed Rs328 crore in India. This was the first time his film surpassed the Rs300 crore mark.

Aamir Khan's Dangal, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, was released in China in December last year, and broke all box office records in the country. While the release date has not been announced yet, the makers of Bajrangi Bhaijaan must be hoping to achieve a similar success.
