The upcoming film, also starring Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal, will be a love story directed by Anurag Kashyap and produced by Aanand L Rai.
Dulquer Salmaan signs second Hindi film Manmarziyan

Aanand L Rai and Anurag Kashyap, producer-director duo of the upcoming Mukkabaaz, will not have to wait long to work together again. They’ve announced their next project, Manmarziyan, a love triangle which will star Dulquer Salmaan, in his second Hindi film after Karwaan (2018), along with Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal.
The film was to be directed by Sameer Sharma who was later replaced by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari. Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar were supposed to play the leads. However, the idea was eventually shelved.
In November 2017, Pannu and Kaushal were finalized as the leads and the filmmakers were still looking for a third actor to round out the love story.
Pannu and Kaushal have a busy 2018. The former has the Sandeep Singh biopic Soorma (2018), Mulk (2018) and untitled action film on hand, while the latter will be seen in Meghana Gulzar’s Raazi (2018) with Alia Bhatt, the Sanjay Dutt biopic with Rajkumar Hirani, Ronnie Screwvala’s Love Per Square Foot and Uri, and in Karan Johar’s short of the Bombay Talkies 2 anthology.
Manmarziyan is due to begin filming in January 2018 in Himachal Pradesh. No release date or further details have been announced.
