Priyanka Chopra's return to the Indian stage at the glittering Zee Cine Awards stage was met with a great deal of joy on the social media. The actress has made a mark on the global stage with her upright stance on issues without losing ground in India.
Speaking about Sanjay Leela Bhansali's controversial film, Padmavati, which has earned the wrath of fanatics across the country, Chopra said she stood behind the filmmaker completely.
News website BollywoodHungama.com quoted Chopra as saying, "I will always stand by not just Sanjay sir but also Deepika, Ranveer, and Shahid for the film."
The actress also added that she admired Bhansali 'tremendously' and is waiting for the film to be released. "I have an incredible relationship with Sanjay sir and I admire him tremendously. I know that this will come out and I know people will see the art behind it. They just have to make sure that everything is sorted," she said.
Chopra is currently on a break from shooting for the 3rd season of her hit television show, Quantico. While there have been several reports of talks between her and Bhansali over a biopic on the poetess Amrita Pritam and Sahir Ludhianvi, there has been no confirmation on any progress on the film.
The actress also has two Hollywood ventures, Isn't It Romantic? and A Kid Like Jake awaiting release in near future.
