Malhotra says Varun Dhawan was infamous for his farts while assisting Karan Johar in My Name is Khan.

Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra are two of the rising gen-next actors today. They made their debut together with Karan Johar's Student of the Year (2012).
Dhawan was earlier romantically linked with Alia Bhatt, who is now said to be dating Malhotra.
While they respect each other, they can't be called the best pals. Dhawan will not be pleased with the little gassy revelation Malhotra made about him on Neha Dhupia’s audio show #NoFilterNeha.
Talking about his first meeting with Dhawan, Malhotra said, “We first met at the Dharma office. Karan Johar introduced Dhawan saying that he’s David Dhawan’s son and he will be assisting us in the film (My Name Is Khan). He came half way through the film. Then I was told that he too wants to become an actor.”
Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra and Karan Malhotra together assisted Johar on the film. They travelled together in vans and Sidharth vividly remembers an incident.
“I figured out his obsession with chicken then. He still is. He does need to fix his diet. There was one time when we were all going back in a van in Los Angles. He had his dinner. He just walked in and then here’s some subtle release of all the gas that he consumed while eating chicken, That’s all that he eats. Who was in front when he was crossing by? It was me. It was interesting team of assistant directors who experienced Varun Dhawan’s gastro problems. I hope he is getting some fibre in his diet, some greens because that f*****g stinks like shit, That is what you go through being an AD (assistant director) in Karan Johar film", said Sidharth.
Meanwhile, he also revealed about Jacqueline Fernandez's obsession with social media. The duo will be seen together in A Gentleman that hits the theatres on 25 August.
As part of the film's promotion, Sidharth took Fernandez on bike ride. More than enjoying the ride, Fernandez was focussed on her phone as she was recording the ride live.
“Jacqueline was least interested in the ride. She was only worried about social media. If you take social media out of her, then a part of her will die. If Jacqueline has a kid then she will probably name her child Instagram or Facebook. Or probably she’ll name one as Instagram, the other as facebook.,” added the actor.
