Confirmed! Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez to star in Race 3

Jacqueline Fernandez, who will be seen in Race 3, disclosed that Salman Khan will be playing the lead in the film. She revealed the news when she was speaking about her two upcoming films A Gentleman and Judwaa 2.

There had been buzz in the industry for the past few weeks about Salman playing the lead in Race 3. While there was no official word on it, the news has been confirmed by Fernandez.

While talking to an agency, she said, “After Judwaa 2, I am working on Drive, that is Tarun Mansukhani’s next with Sushant (Singh Rajput) and then it is Salman’s Race 3.”

Neither the makers of Race 3 nor Salman have made an official announcement regarding this. Hence, Fernandez may have accidentally spilled the beans.

The first two instalments of Abbas-Mustan’s Race had Saif Ali Khan playing the lead. It is not known if he will be a part of Race 3, now that Salman is on board. Fernandez entered the franchise in Race 2 (2013). Going by her statement, she is very much a part of Race 3. So, it seems the story might continue from where it ended in Race 2. 

There have also been talks about director Remo D’Souza being brought in to direct the third Race franchise. Watch this space to know if that buzz is true too.
