Strengthened by the success of Vellai Illa Pattadhaari 2, Dhanush is to next work on the sequel of Power Paandi.

Actor Dhanush, whose latest film Vellai Illa Pattadhaari 2 has been declared a hit in the Tamil box office, is to begin work on the sequel of Power Paandi.
Sources close to the actor say that Dhanush will not only be seen in the lead role, he is also to direct Power Paandi 2. It may be recalled that the first part of Power Paandi marked Dhanush's directorial debut. The film had Raj Kiran and Revathi in the lead, with Dhanush appearing for a cameo.
Dhanush has also confirmed that there will definitely be a part 3 to the Vellai Illa Pattadhaari franchise and that actress Kajol will be a part of it too.
Dhanush is also working on the three part franchise of Vetrimaran's Vada Chennai. Sources say that a considerable chunk of the first part has been shot.
This apart, the actor will also be working with his brother director Selvaraghavan on the sequel to the critically acclaimed Pudhupettai.
