Allaying the fears of fans who were worried about his well-being in the United States, singer SP Balasubrahmanyam has clarified that he is fine and has got a new passport.

The singer, who is currently in the US as part of the SPB50 concerts, had put up a Facebook post on Tuesday saying his bag with his passport, credit cards and cash, and his pads with all his song scripts, were stolen.

Although the singer said he got a duplicate passport in 24 hours, several fans were worried about the one of India's most loved and respected singers being stranded in the US.

To allay their fears, SP Balasubrahmanyam put up another video post on Facebook today in which he said, "Everybody is so perturbed. All the news channels are saying so many things... that I have lost my passport, that I am helpless... I got my passport back and I am very fine. I have completed nine beautiful concerts and have five more to go.

"Nobody has any problem with what I have lost or what I have gained. My gain is all your affection and love. Everything is fine. Don't worry about anything else. I am saying this because people who cannot access Facebook are all feeling very bad that I am in a lot of problem or trouble in the USA.

"There is no question of any constraints. We are going to do the five shows comfortably. The Indian embassy has given me my passport and I have all my songs backed up. Please don't worry for anything. Your SPB is safe and doing good by all your blessings (sic)."
