Film promotions, especially on the digital platform, can be bewildering. Nevertheless, they always attract attention. Arjun Kapoor got into his character Madhav Jha to release a promotional video for his upcoming film Half Girlfriend.

In the video we see Madhav Jha reading a page from Half Girlfriend, which is a novel by popular author Chetan Bhagat. Jha is seen reading a page that describes the character of Riya (Shraddha Kapoor). At the end of the video, Jha asks the most pertinent question: what exactly is Half Girlfriend? Those who’ve read the book will have a fair idea.

Arjun is seen speaking in the Bihari accent in the video.

The novel, set in rural Bihar, New Delhi, Patna and New York, is the story of a Bihari boy in quest of winning over the girl he loves. The book is about the struggles of a rural, Hindi-speaking boy from Bihar as he enrols himself at the prestigious English-medium St Stephen’s College in New Delhi. The boy falls in love with a high-class, English-speaking Delhi girl, schooled at Modern School, New Delhi.

The film's trailer will be released on 10 April, while the theatrical release date is set at 19 May.
