The reticent and elusive Rani Mukerji has taken the first step towards her comeback to acting after giving birth to her daughter Adira in 2015. She has now started shooting for director Siddharth P Malhotra's Hichki.

In a promotional video, the actress is seen writing 'shoot starts today' on a blackboard. It makes you wonder if she plays a teacher in Hichki. Not much is known about the film so far. Director Malhotra had helmed We Are Family in 2010. Mukerji's husband Aditya Chopra is producing Hichki.

“I was looking for a script that would challenge and excite me, and Hichki came my way. Each of us has a weakness that pulls us back. It could be a disability or any condition but if we just look at it simply as a hiccup, we can emerge as a winner. It won’t come in the way of achieving our dreams. Hichki is built on this positive premise and I decided to take it up,” Mukerji had told The Indian Express newspaper in February this year.

Mukerji's last film was Mardaani (2014).
