The classic song and dance sequences are a popular Bollywood trope, but these are often far from reality. Considered a serious actor, Irrfan Khan has now got a chance to lip-synch and dance to a romantic number in Saket Chaudhary’s Hindi Medium.

Makers of Hindi Medium released 'Hoor', in which Khan is seen clicking pictures, doing a little jig and carrying his beloved on his back through the streets of Delhi.

Khan's character in Shoojit Sircar's Piku (2015) had romantic shades, as he falls in love with Deepika Padukone's character Piku.

The impressive trailer of Hindi Medium got a big thumbs up for its content and also the lead pair of Khan and Pakistani actress Saba Qamar. They fit the roles of Raj and Mita perfectly. Khan will welcome the opportunity to indulge in a bit of traditional Bollywood romance.

Penned by Priya Saraiya, 'Hoor' is simple poem of a boy marvelling at the beauty of his beloved. It’s backed by soothing soft contemporary music that bring back memories of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s 'Mann Ki Lagan' from Paap (2003). No, we are not suggesting that Sachin-Jigar have taken inspiration from Shahi, who composed the Paap track, but listeners will find some similarity in the music of the two songs. But that is where the similarities end as 'Hoor' then largely beats on contemporary tunes. Pakistani singer Atif Aslam has made a name crooning such soft romantic numbers.

The other highlight of the song are the two young actors, who essay the younger Raj and Mita. Nearly half of the song is pictured on them. The young boy resembles Khan quite a bit.
