Sushant Singh Rajput has confirmed that Shekhar Kapur's ambitious film project Paani, which has been in the waiting for a long time, has been scrapped. Rajput also credited Kapur as instrumental in his #selfmusings on Twitter.

Rajput was speaking at the trailer launch of Raabta, in which he will share screen space with Kriti Sanon.

Rajput often tweets philosophical and intriguing observations with the #selfmusings. Kapur is also known for similar pearls of wisdom in his tweets.

When Cinestaan.com asked the actor if the #selfmusings were a result of his camaraderie with Kapur, the actor agreed. In the process, Rajput also confirmed that Paani was not getting made.

"Probably yes. Before I met him, I was very rigid in my point of view. I was very opinionated. Those six-seven months I spent with him were really specially. Unfortunately, that film (Paani) didn't get made," said Rajput at the trailer launch of Raabta.

Kapur had approached Hrtihik Roshan first for Paani. The latter had initially evinced interest but he had then chosen Karan Malhotra's Shuddhi. However, both projects got shelved.

Adding further, Rajput said, "What he did well was to convince me that we shouldn't look at things in just one way. Anything could be right or wrong? There are different perspective to a thing".

Rajput then chose to answer a question about Pakistan army court issuing a death sentence to Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav, who was accused of alleged spying.

An angry journalist took offence when Rajput and the Raabta team ignored the question.

Looking a bit peeved, Rajput then said, "It would not be right to comment without being well informed on a subject. You can ask many questions, but we cannot be forced to give an answer"

Raabta will be released on 9 June.
