The love song from the film shows Arjun being smitten by Shraddha as it rains down on them.

'Baarish' is a welcome song right now as the temperatures soar across the country. And the makers of the film Half Girlfriend have released it at an opportune time, just a couple of days since the trailer was launched.

College student from a humble background, Madhav Jha (Arjun Kapoor), is smitten by a rich pretty girl Riya Somani, played by Shraddha Kapoor. While the song is a breezy love song composed by Tanishk Bagchi, the lyrics by Arafat Mehmood and Bagchi lack the depth — 'Ye mausam ki baarish, baarish ka pani, ye pani ki boondein tujhe hi to dhoonde'. It sounds like one of many other love songs, but expect it to get stuck in your head and don't be suprised if you start humming it soon enough.

The video shows Arjun watch Shraddha get soaked in the rain. He's been watching her from afar, making the class divide between the two very obvious. Finally, he too steps into the rain to get wet. The picturisation lacks freshness and imagination.

Arjun does his best to infuse some love and energy into the track with his expression of innocent love.

The song is sung by Ash King and Shashaa Tirupati.
