After Phillauri, Anushka Sharma’s next production is a love story

The actress has collaborated with the makers of Rustom, Toilet — Ek Prem Katha and Padman for the film.

After Phillauri, Anushka Sharma is all set to roll her next production under her banner Clean Slate Films. She will jointly produce the film with her brother Karnesh Sharma. They have roped in KriArj Entertainment as co-producers. 

KriArj has produced films like Rustom (2016) and Naam Shabana (2017). Their forthcoming films include, Toilet — Ek Prem Katha and Padman. Both the films star Akshay Kumar and are set to release this year. 

Speaking to a publication, Anushka said, “At Clean Slate our endeavour is to tell stories that are not only meaningful and different, but also push the boundaries. This film, a new journey, is yet another step in that direction.” 

Arjun N Kapoor, co-founder of KriArj, is all praise for Anushka. He said, “Prernaa (Arora) and I are extremely delighted to start our association with Clean Slate Films. Anushka is not only a powerhouse performer but also a very sensible producer. The passion, which she and Karnesh bring into their films, is something that we too identify with at KriArj. We are certain that our partnership will create content that will further the reputation of our young companies and stand out from the crowd.” 

The film in question is a love story which is yet untitled. It will go on floors this summer and will be shot in Mumbai and Kolkata. The cast details are currently kept under wraps.
