What is Amitabh Bachchan's message on Teachers' Day?

The legendary actor urges his granddaughters, Navya and Aaradhya, to ignore ‘Log kya kahenge?’

Generally on Teacher’s Day, the teacher preaches or instructs his or her students about various moral values. But Amitabh Bachchan has urged his granddaughters, Navya Naveli and Aaradhya Bachchan, to rubbish off moral policing in terms of what a girl should do and how she should behave in order to be accepted by guardians of morality.

On today’s day, the legendary actor has written a combined letter to Navya and Aaradhya asking them to live life on their own terms. Few excerpts from the letter read, “They will tell your how to dress, how to behave, who you can meet and where you should go... Don’t let anyone make you believe that the length of your skirt is a measure of your character... Don’t get married for any other reason, other than you want to get married... Never ever worry about log kya kagenge?”

Big B ended the letter with, “Do this and you would have done more than I have ever done, it will be my honor to be known not as Amitabh Bachchan but as your grandfather.”

Co-incidentally, Bachchan’s upcoming movie Pink also deals with the issues mentioned in the letter.
