The trailer of this Force sequel is action-packed and gripping.

A sequel of an action film is expected to be bigger and grander than the first film. The trailer of Force 2 does promise to be many notches higher as far as action and stunts are concerned. The first film was directed by Nishikant Kamat but this one will be helmed by Abhinay Deo, who is known for making Delhi Belly. This time John Abraham is paired opposite Sonakshi Sinha. Genelia D’Souza isn’t a part since her character dies in the first film.

Force (2011) was about a cop who vows to find and finish off the baddie, which was played by Vidyut Jammval. The story was confined to Mumbai. But Force 2 is much bigger in scale. The story takes place internationally (thus has been shot in foreign locations) and the film deals with RAW agents and their selfless contribution towards the safety of India.

The makers have kept the exact storyline under wraps but have teased us enough. The trailer is all about high octane action stunts. Having been exposed to mainstream Hollywood flicks, the action does look repetitive. However, some sequences and chases are seriously impressive.

Th film sees Sonakshi playing the role of a RAW agent. Her character is teamed up with John for a special mission. This looks like a good follow up for her as she gets to play another tough girl after Akira. Force 2 has Tahir Raj Bhasin playing the bad guy. He was appreciated for his mean act in Mardaani (2014).

John’s character does bring back memories of his act in Dishoom as he once again plays a tough cop who doesn’t care for rules and protocols.

Produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, Force 2 is all set to release on 18 November.
