Not too long ago, there were murmurs of Saif Ali Khan being unhappy with Karan Johar for not being offered a meatier role Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The cameo offered to Saif was then taken up by Shah Rukh Khan.

The rumour mills went abuzz with tales of Saif being upset with Johar. All this talk had upset Kareena Kapoor Khan, whose spokesperson had rubbished these rumours. Kareena is good friends with Johar.

Buzz has it that Saif was more than keen to do the film, but an untimely injury forced him to miss the bus. As per reports, Saif had suffered an injury then and was advised two-months rest. In fact, Saif himself told Johar to look for an alternative.

“These rumours are insensitive and extremely upsetting to Kareena. There is no truth to what is being reported,” Kareena’s spokesperson told news agency Press Trust of India.

Saif has worked with Johar in films like Kal Ho Na Ho (2003) and Kurbaan (2009).
