Priyanka Chopra to be presenter at Emmy Awards


The actress, who made her Amercian TV debut with Quantico, will be among the first group of presenters at the premier American TV awards do.

From the time she recorded her first international single, 'In My City', Priyanka Chopra has gone on to achieve many firsts. She became the first Indian actress to play a lead in an American TV show, Quantico and thereafter bagged her maiden Hollywood film, Baywatch, where she plays the main antagonist.

Chopra has since attended various American awards and events. She has scored another first for a Hindi film actress as she has been chosen to be among the presenters at the Emmy Awards this year. The Emmys honour the best in American television.

This season, Chopra has already presented awards at the Oscars, Actors Guild Awards, People's Choice Awards and SAG Awards.

Confirming the development, noted international portal Deadline tweeted this:

Chopra is named among the first group of presenters, which includes other noted celebrities like Liev Schreiber, Kristen Bell, Aziz Nasari, Julie Bowen and others.

The Emmys will be held on 18 September and will air on ABC network.
