2.0, Rajinikanth's sequel to Enthiran, is already making noise. As per a report in a Mumbai tabloid, locals in Saligramam area of Chennai are miffed with the events that occurred on the sets recently. Apparently, a loud, high-intensity blast was from heard from the set which rattled the locals.
While Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar weren’t present on the sets, director Shankar was shooting a massive car blast sequence, which created an earth-shattering sound around the area. The subsequent noise and smoke disturbed the sanctity of the area.
Shankar, cinematographer Nirav Shah were shooting with the stuntmen for the sequence. Reportedly, the scene had real explosives kept inside a container tank. A luxury car then rammed into this tank creating a huge blast and engulfing the area in smoke. The setting also saw the use of some military tanks.
While Shankar and Shah were happy with the scene, the blast has upset the locals. Shankar and Rajinikanth have promised to up the ante for the second film, and this blast is perhaps taking it to another level.
2.0 is slated to release in 2017.
