The trailer was initially expected to come out with Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, but has now been postponed to the actor's birthday on 2 November.

Shah Rukh Khan fans might have to hold on to their breaths to catch the next trailer of their star's film. Recent reports suggest that the release of Khan's much-awaited trailer for Raees has been postponed to 2 November, the actor's birthday. The actor will be unveiling the trailer at the party he hosts every year at his bungalow.

The decision seems to be fuelled by the growing anti-Pakistan sentiment which has put up questions on Ae Dil Hai Mushkil's release. Both Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Raees have Pakistani actors involved. The ban by the Indian Motion Pictures Producers' Association (IMPPA) and the growing murmurs among the distributors and exhibitors to ban films with Pakistani actors might have led to the decision to delay the trailer launch.

Raees, directed by Rahul Dholakia, was initially expected to release during Eid this year. However, it was delayed to January 2017 to avoid a clash with Salman Khan's Sultan. In doing so, the film has run into another superstar film, Hrithik Roshan-starrer Kaabil. Aamir Khan's Dangal will also see its first trailer released at the same time.

Kaabil's trailer is now expected to accompany Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in the theatres, while Raees' trailer will release alongside another Shah Rukh Khan starrer, Dear Zindagi which releases on 25 November.

Till then, it looks like Shah Rukh Khan fans will have to keep waiting.
