Farhan Akhar to play Dawood Ibrahim?

Film on Mumbai don Arun Gawli will see Akhtar play a character based on the dreaded don.

Farhan Akhtar is all set play his maiden villainous role. And he has chosen to play a character that will bear resemblance to India's most wanted don — Dawood Ibrahim.

According to a source, Akhtar will be playing a Dawood Ibrahim-like character in upcoming film Daddy, that is based on the life of Mumbai gangster Arun Gawli. Arjun Rampal plays the lead role, while south films actress Aishwarya Rajesh plays the female lead. Daddy is directed Ashim Ahluwalia who had helmed Miss Lovely (2012).

Buzz has it that the actor has shot a few portions of the film at a Khar (Mumbai suburb) bungalow in June. Akhtar will be shooting his final part soon.

Meanwhile, Rampal tweeted a picture of the wrap-up of their shoot.
