Salman Khan's bodyguard Shera booked for assault

An argument broke out between Shera and a restaurant waiter, which turned violent with Shera and two of his accomplices allegedly assaulting the waiter.

After Salman Khan, his bodyguard has found himself in a soup. Gurmeet Singh, better known as Shera has been booked for assaulting a staff member in a Mumbai restaurant. A complaint has been filed against Shera at the DN Nagar police station in Mumbai.

As reported on Times Now news channel, Shera’s statement is currently being recorded. “Nothing happened on Tuesday,” Shera told the news channel. “I went to meet a friend at Kokilaben Hospital, then I went to Pop Tate’s where I had a verbal argument on the phone, but no physical scuffle. The police came to my house in the morning and now I am accompanying them to the DN Nagar police station. I don’t know the details of the charges against me,” he added. The name of the complainant is Umar Qureshi.

According to the complaint, the incident took place at around 2.30 am yesterday at a hookah parlour in Andheri (west). An argument broke out between Shera and the restaurant waiter, which turned violent with Shera and two of his accomplices allegedly assaulting the waiter, breaking his collar bone and pointing a gun at the waiter.

Following the complaint, a case has been filed against Shera under Sections, 323, 326 of the Indian Penal Code at DN Nagar police station.

Shera has been working with Khan for 18 years.
