Priyanka Chopra’s Marathi film debut as producer, Ventilator, marks filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker’s return to acting after almost 18 years. The first tralier of the film, which is just released, reveals that the film also has an appearance by another Hindi film actor, Boman Irani.
From the trailer, it seems like most of the film takes place inside a hospital lobby. The story revolves around Gowariker’s father, who is on ventilator in Intensive Care Unit (ICU). But despite such a serious scenario, the trailer is full of funny and light-hearted moments. The humour is situational and it leaves you in splits.
Boman appears in the end and makes a terrific impact. He plays a surgeon who shows his funny side to the patient’s relatives. Despite being non-Marathi, he speaks the language well in his Marathi cinema debut. But this is not the first time he is speaking Marathi on screen. He was seen doing that in few scenes in Bela Sehgal’s Hindi film Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi.
Boman played an important part in Mapuskar's Hindi film debut, Ferra Ki Sawari (2012). He has worked with Priyanka too in films like Don (2006), Don 2 (2011) and Dostana (2008).
Ventilator is all set to release on 4 November.
