Akshay Kumar is on a dream run at the moment. After giving three successful films this year – Airlift, Housefull 3 and Rustom – he will next be seen in Jolly LLB 2, which is the sequel to Jolly LLB (2013). The actor also has a lineup of films set to go into making after that, in the form of Toilet – Ek Prem Katha, Crack and Gold.
The actor kicked off the shoot for Toilet – Ek Prem Katha yesterday in Mathura. He shared a picture on Twitter from the sets with actress Bhumi Pednekar. It was captioned, “A very good morning from @psbhumi and me from the sets of Toilet - Ek Prem Katha! First day it is...need your best wishes.”
The picture sees both actors posing with an Indian style toilet. According to various reports, the film deals with the issue of open defecation in India, even in today’s times.
Produced by Neeraj Pandey, Toilet is directed by Shree Narayan Singh. He had made his directorial debut in 2012 with Yeh Jo Mohabbat Hai. He has been an editor in all Pandey’s directorial ventures: A Wednesday (2008), Special 26 (2013) and Baby (2015). Singh was also a part of Rustom, which was produced by Pandey.
Toilet is Pednekar’s next after the surprise hit Dum Laga Ke Haisha in 2015. The film will be released next year.
