At last, Farhan Akhtar's Rock On 2 has a track that lives up to the film's name.

Rock On 2 is less than two weeks away from release, but the film has failed to generate any great buzz so far. The music, too, pales in comparison to the first film. However, Rock On fans finally have a track to cheer after the makers released 'Udja Re'. And it’s not in the husky voice of Farhan Akhtar but the much improved vocal chords of Shraddha Kapoor.
The track is appealing both in its music and the picturisation. More than the music it is the black wings of Shraddha Kapoor which give her character a kinky, devilish look.
If you can take your eyes off Jiah (Kapoor), then 'Udja Re' has simple lyrics by Javed Akhtar which urge a person to break free from one’s mechanical and mundane existence. Kapoor the singer has improved from her turns in Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain. More than the lyrics and the singing, however, it is the music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy which really lifts up the song to a delightful level.
