After Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2016), Balan will once again be seen as an RJ.
Vidya Balan to play RJ in adman Suresh Triveni's Tumhari Sulu

As Jhanvi in Rajkumar Hirani’s Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006), Vidya Balan won over Munna Bhai (Sanjay Dutt) with her voice and sunny, cheerful personality. She will go behind the mike once again as a late night chat show host in Tumhari Sulu.
Balan will play Sulochana nicknamed Sulu, a fun and feisty RJ in the comedy drama. Producer Atul Kasbekar told Mumbai Mirror tabloid, “This gem of a script will make you cheer and laugh. The character of Sulu is fun, happy-go-lucky but grounded, everything that Vidya is even in real life.”
Tumhari Sulu will be jointly produced with T-Series and Kasbekar’s Ellipsis Entertainment. He produced the moving biopic, Neerja, on air hostess Neerja Bhanot starring Sonam Kapoor earlier this year. The film will be directed by first-time filmmaker Suresh Triveni. Triveni was the man behind the popular ‘Mauka Mauka’ advertisements that released during last year’s India vs Pakistan World Cup match.
Tumhari Sulu does not have a release date as yet. Balan's other 2017 release is Srijit Mukherji’s Begum Jaan with Naseeruddin Shah and Gauahar Khan.
