After 24, Anil Kapoor set to feature in international web series


The seasoned actor is set to feature in his maiden web series, a sci-drama pilot, that will be aired on Amazon Originals.

Actor Anil Kapoor, who has successfully worked in American TV show 24 and the Hollywood film Mission Impossible, is set to feature in his maiden web series that will be aired on Amazon Originals. 

The sci-fi drama pilot is based on Michael Faber’s The Book of Strange New Things. The one-hour pilot is set to be produced by Bridge of Spies co-writer Matt Charman. While the pilot will be directed by The Last King of Scotland director Kevin MacDonald.

Kapoor is touted to play a grey character in the series. 

“I am getting to work with some of the world’s best creative teams. The director and producer are Oscar winners and the writer is an Oscar nominee. These are people who are respected all over the world. I feel very strongly that streaming is the future of the world, so why not stick out my neck now and see what happens?" Kapoor told DNA newspaper.

Kapoor has achieved international acclaim after starring in Danny Boyle’s Academy Award winner Slumdog Millionaire (2009).
