Junglee Pictures and BR Studios' Bareilly Ki Barfi, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Sanon, began its journey on location in Uttar Pradhesh in October. Rao tweeted yesterday, “Wrap on #BareillykiBarfi. Thank u my bestie @Ashwinyiyer & 2 most w'ful & talented co-actors,friends @ayushmannk & @kritisanon. Had a blast.” He had finished shooting his portions of the unusual rom-com in Lucknow.
Directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, the film has Khurrana playing an owner of a printing press, Rao as an author and Sanon as a progressive young woman. Earlier in October, he had posted his two distinct looks from the set and the ‘great time’ he was having working on the film.
His co-stars Khuranna and Sanon will continue shooting in Lucknow. The title Bareilly Ki Barfi is borrowed from the mithai store owned by Sanon’s parents in the film.
Sanon gave Rao a send-off on Twitter and talked about how she “loved working” with him.
