Outgoing US President Barack Obama is largely popular not just in the US, but also around the world, particularly in India where he has a huge fan following. Barack is largely seen in India as a great leader and a humble human being. However, the President does not amuse lyricist-writer Javed Akhtar.

The popular writer hasn’t taken too kindly to a recent quote by Barack while answering a query which involved his wife Michelle Obama. After the loss of Hillary Clinton to controversial businessman Donald Trump in the American presidential elections, critics, commentators have been questioning the move by the Democrats party to have Clinton as their presidential candidate. There were even talks that the Democrats would have been better served if they had Barack's wife Michelle running for presidency.

Late October, Barack had said in a radio interview that one shouldn’t expect to see Michelle making a bid for the White House. Instead, the two would focus on social causes once his presidency term is over.

“She will never run for office. She is as talented and brilliant a person as there is, and I could not be prouder of her, but Michelle does not have the patience or the inclination to actually be a candidate herself. And that’s one thing y’all can take to the bank,” Barack said in the radio interview.
