John Abraham’s action flick fails at box-office

The audience didn’t say ‘Welcome Back’ to John Abraham in 2015, and the actor’s struggle at the box-office continues with his latest flick Rocky Handsome faring poorly.
The film that released on March 25th, could only muster Rs.14.5 crore net in its first weekend. As per boxofficeindia.com, the film had a poor opening of Rs.5.50 crore and the collections dipped further on Saturday to Rs. 4 crore and Sunday to Rs. 3.5 crore. It must also be noted that Sunday had the crucial India versus Australia World T20 game and that could have deterred fans from going to theatres.
Hollywood flick Batman v Superman stole the show over Rocky Handsome garnering 25 crore net in its opening weekend.
Meanwhile Dharma Productions’ Kapoor & Sons fared reasonably well in its second week, garnering Rs. 11.25 crore net, taking its two week total to Rs.55. 75 crore net.
