Making biopics is like batting on a sticky wicket. It becomes imperative to portray events in someone’s life in a sensitive manner. Above all, before the film is opened to public, it’s vital to get approval from the person on whom the film is being made.

Director Neeraj Pandey held a special screening of Dhoni: The Untold Story for Indian ODI and T20 captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his family. And according to reports, the Indian captain has given the seal of approval.

MS Dhoni will be flying out to Zimbabwe for a short series and so Pandey held the screening for the Indian skipper and his family before he left. Besides, Sushant Singh Rajput too would be flying to Budapest to shoot his next Raabta.

According to reports, Dhoni and his family didn’t find anything objectionable in the film’s content. They appreciated the treatment given to the film by Pandey.

Buzz has it that MS Dhoni: The Untold Story includes the cricketer’s ex-girlfriend who tragically passed away. Rookie actor Disha Patani is playing the part of Dhoni’s ex-girlfriend. The film also stars Kiara Advani, who plays Dhoni’s wife Sakshi, and Anupam Kher. The film is slated to release worldwide on 2 September, 2016.
