Priyanka Chopra is back to her hometown Mumbai from Madrid, Spain, after taking part in the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards, where she was awarded the Woman of the Year and Best Supporting Actress trophies. As soon as she landed in the city, she was bombarded with a number of questions.

Firstly, she was asked her take on the recent controversy surrounding Salman Khan’s rape comment. Unlike her contemporary Kangana Ranaut, Priyanka didn’t react to the superstar’s comment. She said, “First of all, you should be asking the person who made this comment. It is very important for the media and for we as women to use our power and talk about the real problem which is happening in India every single day to so many women instead of pushing a controversy for a headline, which is unfair.”

She added, “There is so much reality happening like a brutal rape case in Bihar took place – why is no one talking about the issue? A lot has been said about the Salman issue, I don’t want to add to the noise. I would rather bring notice on real issues. The real problem is us talking about how to treat out women better in India and how to treat women better generally.”

At the airport, Priyanka was also asked to comment on Salman pulling her and Deepika Padukone's leg saying that the two Hollywood returned female actors had forgotten about Hindi film industry. The Quantico star didn't quite get the question, but replied, "I don't know... I am not doing a film (in Hindi) this year, but Deepika is."

While on Deepika, the Fashion actor was initially supposed to perform with Deepika at IIFA on their hit dance number ‘Pinga’ from Bajirao Mastani. But much to the disappointment of their fans, the performance didn’t take place. Buzz is that Deepika disagreed to the idea. When asked about it, she said, “You need to ask this to the IIFA organisers.”

Also, there has been a lot of ambiguity on whether Don 3 is being made and whether another actor would replace Priyanka in the film. During the interaction, Priyanka, who was a part of Don and Don 2, set the record straight saying, “The film is not being made, according to what I know.”

Priyanka will next be seen in the Hollywood film Baywatch, a big screen reboot of the hit TV series by the same name.
