Revealed: Kangana Ranaut plays a housekeeper gone rogue in Simran

The success of Queen turned Kangana Ranaut into a superstar. Following this, every film of hers is keenly awaited. The same is the case with her next with director Hansal Mehta, titled Simran. As per the latest official announcement, the film will be jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Shailesh Singh.
The makers have also revealed the first look of Kangana from the movie. It shows the actor as a simple girl-next-door avatar, wearing a modest black and white attire.
Details about Kangana’s character are also out. The Tanu Weds Manu Returns actor will be playing a Gujarati girl for the first time. She plays a housekeeper named Praful Patel. The story revolves around her ambitions and how she gets addicted to the world of crime.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar and Shailesh Singh, Simran is written by Apurva Asrani. The film will go on the floor this August and will be shot in the US. This is Mehta’s next venture after the critically acclaimed, Aligarh starring Manoj Bajpayee.
