Happy Bhaag Jaayegi's new trailer opens with the fantastic scene of Jimmy Shergill doing a 'Sunny' to the track of 'Yaara O Yaara'. The scene just sets up the rest of the quirky story about his tryst with the notorious runaway bride, Happy.

Mudassar Aziz's new film appears to be a hilarious tale that can be alternatively titled 'Runaway Bride to Pakistan'. Happy, a nervous bride keeps running away from her wedding. On one such attempt, she unwittingly runs right across the border, to Pakistan.

The trailer is fabulously edited and offers a teasing glimpse into the hilarious comedy that the film is. The casting for the film looks to be a winner. Diana Penty takes some convincing as the loud mouthed, nervous Punjaban, but comes through with some effort. Jimmy Shergill, on the other hand, is in his element as the guy who gets ditched at the altar. Having played the ditched lover in Tanu Weds Manu and its sequel, the actor has perfected the balance of cynicism and meanness required to play the desperate role. Ali Zafar looks promising and has some comic scenes alongside the veteran, Piyush Mishra. Abhay Deol plays the good hearted Lahori who ends up dealing with the runaway bride.

In all, the trailer offers a teasing glimpse of a good film that carries signature elements of an Aanand L Rai production. The film's witty posters have been outdone by the trailer.

Happy Bhaag Jaayegi is directed by Mudassar Aziz and will release on 19 August.
