Priyanka Chopra is going from strength to strength. The National Award winning actress has now been invited to be a part of the 7-member jury of the Toronto International Film Festival's digital short film section, known as TIFF shorts festival. TIFF is one of the most prominent film festivals in the world.

Priyanka will be joining other jury members like director Ava DuVernay (Selma), Ben Richardson (cinematographer of Beasts of the Southern Wild), Nabil Ederkin (music video director and photographer), stop-motion artist Rachel Ryle, Canadian writer-director Xavier Dolan, and 127 Hours star, James Franco.  The jury will be judging one minute-long digital short films sent in from aspiring filmmakers around the world.

This will be Priyanka's third visit to the festival. Her first time at the festival was when Ashutosh Gowariker screened their film What's Your Rashee? (2009). She returned again for the premiere of Mary Kom (2014) at the festival. Priyanka now joins the list of Nandita Das, and Vidya Balan who were on the Cannes jury in 2013.

Priyanka is currently shooting for the second season of Quantico in New York, United States. She will also be seen in the movie version of the popular TV series, Baywatch, alongside stars like Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron.

Looks like it might be some time before the 'desi girl' returns to Hindi cinema.
