Emraan Hashmi is dreaming big. The actor has just released the first poster from Captain Nawab. The film is the debut of Hashmi's home production, Emraan Hashmi Films. The actor looks serious in his army camouflage, with the flags of India and Pakistan providing a grim backdrop to the poster.

Interestingly, the uniform worn by Hashmi in the poster is a mix of both the Indian and Pakistani army camouflage. Speaking to a daily, the Raaz actor said, "That’s the DNA of the film. I know it’ll spark off assumptions, but I’ll hold the suspense for now.” The film will also see the actor in the role of a soldier for the first time.

The film is to be directed by Tony D'Souza, who previously worked with Hashmi in the biopic of cricketer Mohammed Azharuddin, Azhar (2016). Reports suggest that the scripting for Captain Nawab has not yet been completed, and that the film is based on true events.

Hashmi is expected to start work on his home production once he completes Milan Luthria's Baadshaho, which has just recently gone on floors. He will be seen alongside Ajay Devgn in the film.
