It's been long wait for her fans as Sridevi has taken ages to choose her next after making a successful comeback in English Vinglish (2012). The seasoned actress ended the wait by taking up her husband Boney Kapoor's production Mom. Now buzz has it that the English Vinglish actress is likely to give her nod for a Salman Khan production.

As per reports, Sridevi has been offered a leading role in a mother-son story that will be directed by Vipul Shah. Interestingly, Mom is likely to be a story of a mother and her step-daughter. The coincidence begs the question: Why would Sridevi take up a project with a similar premise? May be Khan backing the production has something to do with the choice.

Khan, who is currently shooting for Kabir Khan’ s Tubelight, is said to have approved Shah's script. Meanwhile, Sridevi shot the first schedule of Mom in May this year, while the film was also shot in Georgia. The shooting is still underway and the film is slated to release next year.
