After my parents, Katrina was most influential person in my life: Ranbir Kapoor

Fans have been waiting for a while to hear the story. What really went wrong between Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, especially after they were rumoured to be taking their relationship to the next level?

While Kaif has maintained a studied silence, Kapoor has finally spoken about the break-up. In an interview with TV journalist Rajeev Masand, the Rockstar (2011) actor said, "It [the relationship] was really punctured by a lot of things —  baseless rumours, reports, perceptions and points of view." 

Asked whether it was hard to open up about the break-up, Kapoor replied, "It hurt because I think after my parents, Katrina was the most influential, motivational entity in my life."

Masand tweeted a series of promos about the interview. 

Kapoor, who had been dating Kaif for about five years before the break-up. also spoke about how his confidence had taken a beating following a series of flops.
