According to recent reports, Parineeti Chopra has signed on a female-centric role in Circus. To be directed by Bosco Martis, one half of the choreographer duo Bosco-Caesar, the film will feature Chopra in the role of a trapeze artist.

Suniel Shetty will also be part of the film. The actor will reportedly play the role of Chopra's father. A national daily quoted a source as saying: "Scripting for Circus began a year ago. It portrays a strong father-daughter relationship spanning a decade and will have Suniel Shetty playing Pari's dad. A child artiste will be cast to play the younger Pari."

A report suggested that the film will involve some physically demanding stunts and extensive action and dance sequences. The report said the trapeze sequences are strenuous and Chopra will be training with gymnasts and acrobats to work on her stance and balance. There will be workshops for both Chopra and Shetty.

The film rolls in December. Circus is based on the life of a trapeze artist and her family.

However, director Martis was unwilling to reveal details of the film. He said, "We are still in the initial stages of production and casting. I have been in talks with the actors, but Parineeti is yet to sign on the dotted line."

Chopra was recently seen in the Varun Dhawan-John Abraham action flick, Dishoom. She is reportedly in line to also play the lead alongside Aamir Khan in Thug.

One thing is for certain, the actress has some very interesting projects lined up for next year.
