The Rustom actor says he'd rather do three films a year than lose/gain weight for one film
Akshay Kumar takes a cheeky jibe at Aamir, Salman on TV show

Akshay Kumar is cool as ice and seldom does he indulge in confrontation. However, he is not averse to the odd banter or a cheeky jibe. And he doesn't even spare his own films. A few years ago, he regularly mocked his film Action Replayy at award functions.
Come this weekend, Kumar will be seen promoting his film Rustom on The Kapil Sharma show on Sony Entertainment Television. As seen in the promo of the show, Kapil Sharma asked a completely out-of-the-box question to the Rustom actor.
Sharma asked Kumar how, unlike other noted stars, he does not act in a film where he has to sport a different look, gain weight, then lose it etc.
Kumar clearly knew what Sharma was getting at, but was more than happy to give an apt reply.
Though stunned at first, Kumar immediately retorted: “Well, yeh weight lose aur gain karne main time nikal jaata hai, issey accha, is time mein main 2-3 films karloon." (Rather than wasting time trying to gain and lose weight, I'd rather do 2-3 films in that time).
A befitting and a cheeky reply to a cheeky question. Kumar clearly was taking a jibe at fellow superstars Aamir Khan and Salman Khan. The two Khans had to gain and lose weight for their characters in Dangal and Sultan, respectively.
Neither Aamir nor Salman is likely to take any offence, after all such banter between stars is often in jest. Fans can watch the episode on 13 August, 2016 at 9 pm on Sony Entertainment Television.
