This was one controversy Tiger Shroff could have done without, especially as it has come on the eve of the release of his film Baaghi: A Rebel For Love. Usually reticent and polite, the young actor son of Jackie Shroff created a stir on Twitter after expressing his views of the ideal housewife.

During an online interview, Tiger Shroff was asked about the qualities he would want in a partner. The actor came up with this reply.

@TIGERSHROFF -- "I will get married to a girl from the village... When I reach home, I want a massage so that I can get relaxed (sic). I like girls who are the housewife type.”

The reply triggered a storm on social media with female fans slamming the actor as sexist for his comment. The actor deleted the controversial post, but the damage had been done.

Tiger Shroff did try to pacify the twitterati with a message saying he respects his mother and sister too much to say something like that. He also tweeted about women's empowerment and about how women will always be stronger than men.

Earlier, too, Tiger Shroff had created a storm on social media when he went overboard in his praise of Hrithik Roshan.
