Salman Khan's portal is in trouble

Apparently, KhanMarketOnline.com may face legal trouble

Salman Khan recently decided to celebrate his birthday by launching a shopping portal called KhanMarketOnline.com. He believed this would make fans happy, but the announcement hadn't made Delhi's Khan Market Traders Association happy. Apparently, they believe Salman has used their name for his shopping portal.

Sanjiv Mehra, president of the association, is unhappy with the use of 'Khan Market' and says the portal may confuse customers. According to some reports, the association may initiate legal action and move the Delhi High Court on January 4.

Interestingly, a number of officials believe the case isn't strong enough to be presented at this level. While some say there won't be any case of copyright infringement as there are several Khan Markets in the country, others believe that though the association can move the court over the similarity in names, it is futile as the two of them deal with completely different kinds of customers.
